Dreadzone will surely confound expectations through their exuberance, originality, and shear unadulterated energy. Both new and preexisting followers of the mighty Dread should expect to be amazed by some new classics in conjunction with flawless vintage tunes like Little Britain and Iron Shirt.
The groups live lineage is both deserved and well established. Their pedigree as performers was solidified in 94 when they opened the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, where none other than the late, great John Peel was watching from the wings. In fact, Dreadzones second album entitled Second Light was sighted by Peel as one of his top ten albums of all time. He even chose five Dread tunes for his festive 50 at Xmas a fact situating the group among an honoured few from the annals music history.
Throughout their accomplished career, Dreadzone have played an inordinate number of festivals, including Glade and Beautiful Days as well as many Glastonbury appearances. Touring extensively both as a live act and as the Dreadzone Soundsystem, the group create a furore every time they play. Moreover, following the success of this summers festival season, the coming tour is destined to be the inimitable collectives best yet.
