Last Summer Effect

With their powerful, almost anthemic songs, Last Summer Effect are an enthusiastic young band from the Highlands of Scotland and are always improving and seeking new opportunities. The guitar driven 5 piece consisting of Chris Fox on vocals, Michael McCulloch and Robbie Tranter on guitar, and twin rhythm section Michael and Stephen Bull, respectively playing drums and bass guitar, have been playi

ng together since 2010 and their music has continually tightened and matured as they play and write material together. With all members taking influence from different styles of music, their sound is very difficult to pinpoint into one specific genre, however people have described their sound as being like Kings Of Leon, 30 Seconds to Mars, Take That, Young Guns, and Deep Purple, all rolled into one.Last Summer Effect have played with many awesome bands, notably including The Dykeenies, Letlive, The Side, Fatherson, Aspen Tide, Lost In Audio, Team Kapowski, Iain McLaughlin and the Outsiders, Gavin Butler (of The Blackout), Neil Starr (of Attack! Attack!) The Winter Tradition and Autumn in Disguise. LSE have are a very versatile band who change their set and style of the evening depending on what band they are playing with (supporting Pearl and the Puppets in a previous life) and even have a competent acoustic set for special occasions.

They have a 5 track EP out titled “Say What You’re Thinking” which is available to buy on iTunes or from the band at their shows. The EP is also available for streaming on Spotify. They are currently working on their second EP, with a planned release summer 2012.
