In the few years since their inception, TORRIDON have built up a reputation for rocking Festivals throughout Scotland, including BARRAFEST, Runrig’s BEAT THE DRUM, LOOPALLU(fringe) & TIREE and most recently huge performances at the IRONWORKS Inverness, ROCKNESS Festival and Glasgow’s O2 ACADEMY. Not only has their success seen their entertaining Folk/Rock scintillating performances stir up the nation in Scotland, Torridon have also had European success with events in Ukraine, Italy and most notably PARIS, France.

 


The band entered the summer of 2010 having secured a top 25th position in the Scottish Charts, and 15th in the Independent UK Charts with their debut single “We’re on Our Way” a song for the Ross County FC Scottish Cup Final Campaign.  


Their launch of their Second Album, HIGHLAND PRIDE in the IRONWORKS, Inverness has seen the band develop their own material with undoubtedly a huge crowd pleaser and certain winner with the Scots crowd “Drinking Away” driving the album sales around the country and abroad.  The now SIX piece band look set to build quickly on the success of firstly “The Bog” and now “Highland Pride” and secure a rapidly growing fan base up and down Scotland as well as foreign shores.


2011 is already looking set to be huge for the Inverness piece “Tartan Army” Favourites with HEADLINE slots already booked at the MULL Festival and also T11 festival.  The band kick off the year recording their THIRD studio album and are set to rise to bigger stages through the coming years.
