BLACK ISLE CALLING – 13 and 14 SEPTEMBER 2024
Ironworks Venue, Elephant Sessions and Black Isle Brewery are delighted to announce a brand new 2 day event for 2024, ‘Black Isle Calling – Live at the Brewery’.
This new event will be held on the Black Isle Brewery farm (10 minutes north of Inverness) on the 13th and 14th of September and will also feature limited camping onsite.
Headlining the Friday night is the one and only HUEY MORGAN – THE FUN LOVIN’ CRIMINAL, while the Highlands’ own multi- award winning indie-folk band ELEPHANT SESSIONS will bring the festival to a close on the Saturday evening.
Having sold over 10 million records, The former Fun Lovin Criminal frontman is set to perform a mixture of those old classics such as The Fun Lovin Criminals, Scooby Snacks, King of New York, Big Night Out, Love Unlimited, Loco, Couldn’t Get it Right, along with the promise of new music. It promises to be a night of funk, soul, hip-hop and memories.
Multi-award winning Elephant Sessions have exploded onto the indie folk scene with unparalleled effect, making live appearances at some of the most notable venues and festivals across the U.K, Europe and Australia. With audiences crowdsurfing their way through the summer and marquee floors breaking under the weight of bouncing fans, the band’s live shows have won them fans across the globe. Now it is time for them to bring their very own festival to a close for the first time!

Also joining the bill are the musical project by wildlife cinematographer Andrew O’Donnell, BELUGA LAGOON; Motherwell’s rap-rock trio THE LAFONTAINES; Scots Trad Awards 2022 ‘Up and Coming Artist of the Year’ winners the trad- electronic band VALTOS; Glasgow singer-songwriter LIZZIE REID; 6 piece funk band BOHEMIAN MONK MACHINE; and indie-electronic three piece THE JOSHUA HOTEL.
Other acts to feature over the weekend are, LUSA the new project from Niteworks Innes Strachan; the UK’s most northerly indie-rock band Thurso’s FORGETTING THE FUTURE; emerging Highland/Glasgow act LOW LIGHT LISTENING LOUNGE; alt-pop singer-songwriter KEIR GIBSON; ‘Sound of New Scotland’ 2022 SAY Award winners NO WINDOWS and FEIS ROIS CEILIDH TRAIL.
The festival will also feature a local DJ line up to be announced in the coming months alongside a line-up of craft Scottish food and drink suppliers.
